Default Motive Gears

i have a set of motive 4.88s for my jk i bought last summer. i have yet to install them and I'm getting ready to put these bad boys in. just out of curiosity i did some research on them and i found lots of negative reviews on them. some guys say they are loud, some say no, some yes they hum. some guys had to replace them on warranty after only 100 miles. not just in jeeps btw. just wondering if anyone has had any issues with motive gear sets. thanks

I can't offer much insight about Motive gears, but if install is bad, no gear is going to last or be quiet.

true true. i was told to go to " rear end only " IWE in burnaby. people say they are gear gods. the least experienced guy is 14 years on the job so i think my install should go well. 1 year on labor too. they did all 5 of my work trucks that get bushed and bashed. they have never had a hiccup except when a guy drove from williams lake to abbotsford hauling a 12k trailer in 4 high the whole time. cooked the transfer case lol. they claim motives are quiet and are superior in strength to OEM and my OEMs are would actually hold up fine for what i do. sounds good and Northridge sold them to me. i think they stand behind what they sell it seems
