I ordered the muffler only from the Dynomax Rock Crawler kit, keep and move the resonator forward and eliminate the drone.

Banks uses fibreglass packing doesnt it? Any chambered muffler like flowmaster or mbrp will be louder. Anything free flowing will be loud in the upper rpm as well. Just my experience with 3 different exhaust setups. Dynomax super turbo is my personal favourite thus far. Mounted under the cab with my mbrp exhaust piping. Some noise but shuts up when cruising. Personal preference for sure.

Finished mine, put a resonator right behind the y-pipe. It seems they git it a little higher than other pics Ive seem so pretty happy about that. PM me if you want to know where in Pflugerville Ingot this installed.

Why the mbrp haters? I love mine.. To the OP, how many miles did yiu have on yours? I had to break mine in for about a month and the sound mellowed out. The first 3 or 4 weeks it was a little too putt putt-sorta like a lawn mower..but after that it rocks.

I think part of the problem here is that people are lumping all JK's into one exhaust "pool" if you will.

I had a 3.8JK with an MBRP and it sounded great. I've heard the MBRP on a 3.6JK and it sounded nothing like it did on the 3.8.

People are comparing apples to oranges, as is my own observation.

This is why I've found it difficult to do research on different exhaust systems as people will start a thread asking for a recommendation with a 2012+ JK and people with 2011 and older JK's will recommend what they have, either not realizing or not knowing they will sound much different.

Very good point. It's in shop this week to see what we can do. It's just sounds too much like a souped up civic. Lol

That's so true, the difference between the 3.8 and the 3.6. I have the 3.6 and having a hard time deciding on what exhaust to order. I don't want something too loud either. I want the afe but think I will be getting the Magnaflow. Just don't know????
