My 2011 Wrangler regrets!!!!!!
Just a thought Jeeps hold their value really well. Go look at a dealer and see if there is something you like there. I bet you could get a decent trade in and the 3.6 is nice but it's not a speed demon just makes all the heavy stuff livable. I have 35's, have front and rear bumpers, and a winch along with 3.73 gears and able to cruse down the road. I also get 16.5-17.0 mpg so I think that's just fine. Half the fun owning a Jeep is all the stuff you can buy for them so starting over is not a bad thing.

Well, I've got an 09 with the 3.8 also. I've got tons of 'stuff' on it along with 37's. Yeah, it's not a dragster but I always knew that it would be slow and gutless.......but, offroad, I'm happy. It does all I require and that's the whole purpose for which I bought it, not for the highway flier that it's not. Sure, a big V8 would be cool but not for 20 grand. I guess you'll just have to realize why you got it, for the highway or for offroad.
Go make some off-road memories with your Jeep. You'll feel a lot better about it ...

Im in the same boat as you , 3" Lift , 35 " trail grapplers, front & rear bumpers, winch, sliders sleeves ,gussets ect, ect. I actually test drove a 2014 2 door Rubi when I brought my jeep into the dealership for my 5 year life time power train warranty ..To be honest I wasn't overwhelmed with the power difference to justify trading in my 09 unlimited with a lifetime power train warranty with all the mods . Ill pay my jeep off in a year then buy a commuter car. Might look into the new renegade. Supposed to be priced under 20 grand and get 30 + highway mpg
Starting over would piss my wife off bigtime...lol don't get me wrong, I love my Jeep...I put a lot of money and hours in it knowing what I was in for. I just need to stick me a SC on it and roll. I plan on keeping it for a longtime. I just thought with the 4.88's that I would more pep with my mods. I think it's sad that an icon like a Jeep would have a motor that would have horsepower to handle putting mods without having to put a SC on it. But that's my only option I have to gain my composure back. I'm just not use to trying to beef up a V-6 with no horsepower to work with. I'll get it, it'll just take me a little while is all...

I completely understand and I have a 2013 with 3.6. I have a rubicon so I have the 4.10s, 35's, lift, front and rear bumper. It gets 15-16 city and 17-19 hiway. The 3.6 is peppy but it is not a Jeep motor. I wish that they had just updated and upgraded the 4.0 which was by far the best Jeep motor ever.
