Well, that's definitely not true. A long arm suspension will definitely handle better than a short arm suspension even at lower lift levels. Certainly overkill at less than 3 inches of lift, but nonetheless it will do better than a short arm lift.

On the rest of your items,

I agree with planman and that's a lot of lift for 35s.

On the performance items, drop in filter, muffler relocation kit and Superchips Flashpaq. Forget the TB Spacer.

On the bumpers, and living in Chicago I would check out LoD. They make great stuff and within a couple hours from Chicago. You can likely cut out a fair amount of expense by making the jaunt, getting rid of shipping charges and crating fees. With the road salt in your area, you definitely want powder coated accessories.

Thanks guys You have been awesome.
Checked out Lod they have some nice stuff will diff give that a Close look.
I will post a revised list from the suggestions you guys have made.
Doing home work on 4" long arm lifts now.

With a 2 door, you will have to plan on an extra $1000+ for driveshafts if you buy over a 3" lift. You don't need over 2.5"-3" to run 35s. So, I would suggest a lift that nets you 3" on your 2 door so you can allocate funds towards other upgrades. The Teraflex 2.5" lift nets about 3" on a 2 door, and so does the Old Man Emu (OME) with heavy duty springs. Contact David at Northridge4x4.com or call him and he will set you up. He is a great guy and will give you his honest opinion--even if his integrity downsizes the sale.
Ok I have the J/K RUBI not a 2 door is you still think 4" is a lot of lift? and if I choose the 4" long aRM MY SYOCK SHAFTS gonna work ?

lod's 4" says stock shafts won't work but the kit is cheap enough I could buy new shafts. any thoughts or advice on a 4" long arm kit ?

Ok I Decided to go with either Tera flex or skyjacker 4"lift Unless I WIN THE 5" FROM Northridge4x4.com shameless plug

Do I need to purchase lower pitman arm...and do I need to buy Different disconnects?
Does the lift kit have an option to purchase disconnects ?

if you use a track bar bracket in the front, then use a pitman arm. If you don't use one, then dont. I am running a teraflex 3" kit on my 2 door. I lost my driveshaft boot in the front shaft on the first trip out. It happens. If you lift your Jeep more than a couple inches and take it offroad and you have an auto, your DS boot is gonna get it. That is with any kit. Unless the kit has really short shocks or limiting straps that stop the axle from articulating. And why would you want that?

I have owned both skyjacker and Teraflex (along with many other brands over the time I have owned my JK and 4 previous Jeeps) and the Teraflex is a way nicer kit. The build quality and customer service is amazing. The guys that work for Teraflex run their products and drive Jeeps. Skyjacker just happens to make lifts for Jeeps, along with trucks, and other stuff. Tera only builds Jeep suspensions. My Teraflex 3" gave my 2 door over 4" of lift, but it still drives better than stock.

You should call Joe (the guy under the name Teraflex on this site) and ask him what makes teraflex stuff better than skyjacker. He will give you honest advice without cramming products down your throat. He is really active on this site too, so if somehow you ever have a problem he is always here to help.

Don't forget the before and after photos!

Iagree. 2.5" lift is all you really need to fit 35s. If I was you, and I did not want to go crazy on driveshafts and control arms and stuff I would just get the OME HD kit or a tera 2.5" coil kit. The tera 2.5 coil gives just over 3" front and just over 2" rear. It is a nice level look. I am running OME LT shocks and they are awesome. OME always is.

IMO, if you just want 35s, you are looking at way too much lift. Unless you like looking at the insides of your fender-wells.
