I just installed my Gobi on my 2014 Rubicon. I removed the quick disconnects and there are no more wind issues. With them on I was getting rattling noises from the pins attached to the cables. Also, the disconnect plates were somehow causing the wind deflector to rattle at both ends and make contact with the windshield frame at high speeds. Now I just keep a ratcheting 1/2" wrench in my glovebox for easy removal.

I'm selling mine if you want them

I bought my Gobi rack from Trail Duty as well. I was happy with the service. They are based out of Austin so he cut me a break on sales tax (no state tax in Texas!)

The wait was a little lenghty, but I believe that was because it wasn't a stocking item for him and it was direct shipped from Gobi.

I am following your lead and removed my quick disconnects on my rack. I'll see if it helps with the wind noise. Also, I couldn't tell from your picture, are you running a wind deflector? I removed mine last week and going to run without it for a while. When and If I reinstall I think I will see if I can put some cable clamps around the light bar and tie into the ends of the wind deflector to reduce the vibrations.

I left the wind deflector on the rack. I positioned it tight to the windshield frame. Definite difference without the quick disconnects. I just took a 250 mile trip 2 days ago on the highway with super gusty winds with no vibrations or noises what so ever.

I'm headed on a five hour trip to Houston in the morning. I'll see how the wind noise is and provide feedback. Right now I have my wind deflector off, but I have it in the jeep so I can reinstall if needed.

Did Gobi redesign the way the front bar attaches to the windshield frame this year?
I saw a picture of a new rack that attached to the 4 side bolts only and not 2 on the side and 1 on the front.
Has anyone received a new Gobi recently?
