My thoughts on lifts
I just wanted to thank Dirtman/Planman and all the other folks who were assisting on this thread. It is the best explanation and discussion I have found as a relative newbie to jeep modding.
Cattlebaron - All bovines are 4x4
My first 4x4 was a 1973 International Harvester Scout II. I still miss it.

Earlier in the thread I think planman mentioned something about how it would be a good idea getting new front springs if you have an aftermarket bumper/winch because of the extra weight. I currently have a pro-comp leveling kit with 3" coil spacers in the front and 2" in the back with stock coils/shocks. I have an ACE front bumper and plan on getting a winch soon. In your opinion, do think I should take out the spacers in the front and get new 3" springs? I'm open to any suggestions/opinions

Okay so I have hopefully one simple question. This post answered a LOT!! Very great write up thank you very much. Okay so my question is, 2012 wrangler sport manual transmission, running 3" lift with 37s, and RCV, what gearing would be optimal?? Thanks in advance!!
4.88's. I wouldn't go any lower on a d30 and have you already purchased the rcv's?
Yep, if the D30 can hold them, then the larger D44 will surely hold them. But the gears need to match both front and back.
