Need an exhaust for a supercharged 3.6L
As the title says about to pull the trigger on the RIPP s/c and wanted to get a better exhaust. I currently have a dynomax, axle back dual tip, which looks great and sounds fine, but I think the rest of the system will be too restrictive. So I need advice, as far as my uses, I live in Miami and will only see mud, if that. Was looking at the AFE Mach Force 3" cat back. I'd prefer the dual tip, but didn't see any 3" cat back systems that have it.
Also, what are Y pipe and loop delete. From what I can tell, it pertains to jeeps lifted more than mine where at full droop they rub on the exhaust pipe? I only have 2.5" lift. So, unless I need Y pipe for performance, rather not spend the extra coin.
Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't do the Y pipe delete as it can cause you to lose power. I extended the collector pipes on each side and moved the y pipe back behind the crossbrace in the frame. Gets it out of the way of the driveshaft and you won't hit it on anything if you're running exhaust spacers like I was. Pretty simple install if you can weld
Hate to say it, but running the ripp on the 3.6, you might as well spend the coin on a custom built exhaust. It'll cost more, but you'll be best doing so.
I would have one custom made with equal length runners off the cats, probably move up a quarter to half inch over stock size, into an x or y pipe. X into dual mufflers keeping 3" tubing. Y into a slightly larger diameter and single high flow muffler.
The loop delete will lose power down low, unless you can keep equal lengths to the y pipe somehow to keep up scavenging. And the y-pipe from AFE is purely for clearance with lifts and flexing.
If I was going to those lengths I would hunt for less restrictive cats too, or remove them all together.
If you want a bolt on, any three inch exhaust will do well.

I would also weigh your options on superchargers. RIPP isnt the only one out there anymore. It is one of the most expensive of the choices. You got Sprintex, Magnuson, RIPP, and RPMextreme offers one as well. I like the Sprintex because of the powerband, ease of install and the overall design. The price of the Sprintex is pretty sexy as well.
I just looked this up a quadratec, it's a great price, but it's not cat back, it's just axle back like what I have now.
