Default Need Help

i've been looking into putting 33's on my jeep for a while now but i'm hesitant about what steps i need to take. I have a 2008 2 dr wrangler x. my jeep is on road 90% of the time as it is my DD, and is only off road 10% of the time doing very minor things.

the teraflex leveling kit (2" in the front 1" in the rear") seems like the best bang for my buck, especially considering my jeep is mostly on road, nothing too extreme happening. i know that quadratec offers mounted & balanced wheel and tire packages in 33x12.50r17. Would i be able to run those tires with the teraflex leveling kit without any issues? am i better off going with 285/70r17?

Any help/adivce/guidance is greatly appreciate, thanks guys

That will be fine, you can fit 35's with that set up

could i run 34.40x12.40r17? cause i've read a whole bunch of stuff about whether or not to re-gear once you go bigger than a 33" tire and i'm not looking to do that

You can run a 40" tire if you want to. None of us can tell you how you will feel about the power and performance. It is personal opinion, and which model jk, and which engine it has, and which gears it has now, and where you live, and how you drive, and ...

Tereflex's recommendation for that leveling kit is :
You can run up to a 305/65 R18 or 305/70 R17. Although using a 33" tire with this kit, Bumpstops are highly recommended for off road use. If you prefer to run the factory wheels as shown on the red Unlimited, you may need wheel spacers for proper clearance.
If you go with a bigger tire or you flex it offroad, you will want to add taller bumpstops or trim the fenders or go to flats.
