So.....how did it go? I am thinking of going this way after my portable compressor took a nosedive off of my rock rail this last Saturday.

I started installing mine but have not figured out the two wire ignition and the other one with the diode. Also how to install the switch.

Can you please help me find the correct spot to find them?

I have had on board air and recently switched to a power tank. For me the power tank is the way to go; it airs tires up fast and is capable of resetting broken beads. The Co2 lasts longer than I expected and it is really an extention of the compressor that I have in my garage. It does cost me about 13.00 to fill it; for as often as I need to fill the tank I do not think it will break me. The only drawback IMO is I have to tell fellow wheelers it is not community air because it costs me money to fill it. Good luck with your decision and let us know what you go with.

the Red/Yellow Wire - Tap Into the Red Wire (12v Switched) from your Driver side AUX Plug/ Cig Lighter

the Blue/White Wire - Tap Into the Orange/Gray Wire (illumination) located in the wire bundle behind your heater controls
