need help with new jk
I originally had a hardtop. Just purchased the supertop NX by bestop. It's better the. OEM. Has the sunrises feature which lets you flip the front half without taking down the whole top. Plus it has other slight modifications all for the better. I've had it on since June. No leaks so far. Lemme know if u have any further queations

I have the Bestop Twill Supertop NX (mine was factory, but the box was from bestop lol) and it is a super high quality top and looks extremely sharp. It's about as "high" as you can go for a Jeep. I think they run around $1400. It allows you to go full top down or sunrider (area above passengers can be pushed back), but you will need to find a method of storing your windows as they scratch very easily. I use a Cloverpatch window storage duffle. For a cheaper option, you could run the Bestop Supertop NX which is the same design just a different fabric.
A lot of guys run the Bestop TrekTop NX (a "safari" top) because of looks and supposedly it's pretty high quality. It's also cheaper than the Supertop NX. I think they run $500-$650. This has a sunrider feature and you can easily remove the windows, but you cannot easily take the whole top down. It has the cool fastback look.
I am personally very attracted to the Rampage Trail Top. It looks very similar to the TrekTop NX, and is also a "safari" top. There's no sunrider feature, but what is cool about it is that it has built in window storage, which is unique to this top as far as I know. The windows can be a huge pain in the ass to deal with, especially if you live in an area with constantly changing weather. Unfortunately, they are hard to come by and haven't found someone who has had it for a while for an opinion.
I have the trektop NX and love it, takes about 3 mins to tear it down to a safari top, and about 6 mins to put everything back together if you get caught in a storm. Plus the fastback look is sexy. It has the sunrider feature as well.

I use the Rugged Ridge Quick Release Mirror Kit when I take my doors off. I can leave the mounting hardware on with no fitment issues with the stock doors/mirrors, and they install in minutes. They stay nice and firm at highway speeds and I haven't noticed any vibrations. The view is smaller than what you are use to, but its a lot simpler than relocating your mirrors.
If you have patience, order an OffRoad Heros top. It takes a long time and you don't get updates during the build process but it is a freaking great top. No braces, bows or hinges anywhere. Very minimal hardware and its extremely tight. You can take off just front seats, just back seats, just back or any combination.
One of my good friends has the Trektop NX and it pales in comparison. It is poor fitting and looks really shabby after only a year. It has all these support bars, hardware, hinges and crap that look bad.
I have the rugged ridge removable mirrors and they work well. I wish the mirror itself was bigger but they don't rattle or vibrate in the highway.
