Default Need input from those that went from Flashcal to flashpaq.

Gents, as title suggests, I need to hear from those that upgraded from the superchips flashcal to the flashpaq.

Reason for asking, is that I hear a lot of good words from those that went directly to the flashpaq device on how the difference is very noticeable.

Well, just adjusting the tire size in the computer to adjust the transmission shift point like you can do with the flashcal, is really impressive by itself.

Therefore, I plan on upgrading my flashcal by downloading the program that transforms it into a flashpaq, but would like to hear from guys that actually know firsthand the difference between the 2 and hear about their impressions on the different tunes.

Thanks you.

There's a thread on it already around here. Click search and route around for it. I debated doing it myself.

I know the thread you are talking about, and it unfortunately does not answer my question. And I also would like fresh input.

Come on guys, need to know if the tuning alone makes that big of a difference. Specifically the 87 tune, since I will not use higher octane than 87.

You will get different opinions on this. I personally can tell the improvement with the 87 tune, but it isn't real dramatic. I like the tow tune better.

I ran both the 87 and 91 maps. Switching maps every month or so. 87 ran just fine with slightly more pep over stock. 91 felt the same but the jeep ran smoother and idled with less noise. Mpg was better but that could be weather related or habits. Ran the 87 map with 89oct and it ran just as smooth as the 91. I stopped using 91 and ran 87 or 89 from summer up until i got my supercharger put on in december. Save the few bucks on fuel and enjoy the options it gives you. Superchips tunes allow for intakes and exhaust too. Best " box " tuner out of the 3 i used.
