Default Need Some Help with Bikini Top and Doorless

I am pretty new to the forum. I have read several posts, but I am still unclear as to what all I need to run my jeep with a bikini top and doorless. I have a 2012 JKU with a hardtop.

Do I need to buy door surrounds?
Has anyone tried the Smittybuilt Door Surrounds for $99?

Any thoughts or direction would be nice as I am ready to order the bikini top, channel and mirror relocator.

Thank you for any help

All you need is the bikini top and the header channel. They are meant to work without the door surrounds. Just look at the install instructions for the top you are buying. It will show you all you need

Since you have the hard top have you considered removing the hard top and doors and just putting the freedom panels back on? There are two little blocks you have to flip down so they sit right and you don't crack them when tightening the big screws in the rollbar.

I run that way from time to time and I think it's about perfect.

The door surrounds are great if you want to do the wrap around rear window and keep the top a little tighter but you really don't need them. Just get a header and bikini top and get the surrounds latter if you feel you want them.
