Default Need tires...

Well I got the ok for a set of tires for my jk.

I got quoted 1200 for a set of nitto mudgrapplers. Will the 33x12.5x17 fit without spacers? I am gonna put my factory tires on my work truck. I am also thinking about Mickey Thompson baja claws. Any advice on which way to go would be appreciated. I no very little about tires. As long as my Ford has 17 inch wheels I should be able to swap these to my work truck?

I have a set of 5 Mickey Thompson MTZ's 315/75/16 and rims that I can sell you for less than $1200. PM me if you are interested.

I'm about 99.9% sure that you WILL need the spacers to fit that size on the stock wheels. As for the Mud Grapplers vs. Baja Claw, I'd probably go for the Mud Grapplers.....however, the Baja MTZ from Mickey Thompson is very popular and might even be cheaper. (that's what I have)

It depends what your doing. I think you can get by if your on the road, but start going full-flex, you will rub. I think.

forum member igotstuck has 33x12.5 tires on his X, and he rubs at full flex. Not good. I've seen it... I would definetly get the wheels spacers, and even a small lift if you could? However as a DD, spacer would be perfect! Or wheels with better back spacing.

I think the Baja Claw looks better IMHO... But thats all i know about those 2 tires.

The other question you should be asking is if the stock JK tires will work on your truck. What type of Ford is it. 150/250? Check the load rating on the tires on the truck. If its a 250 diesel you'll need a D or E load tire. Just something to think about.

The truck is an F150 regular cab flareside with 17 inch sport wheels and 32 inch tires on it . Very light duty truck. I only loaded my raptor up on it maybe once a year and haul it. I am thinking about dropping down to 16 inch wheels instead of spacers. I really like the 8179 procomp wheels. Plus it seems I could get the baja claws for about $900 dollars with that. What kinda backspacing should I be looking to run?
