Default need wheel spacer?

I'll be putting some new tires on my stock rims in the next little bit and had planned to get some spacers, i'm curious though if 285/70/17 tires would fit without spacers? Anyone have any idea? I think it'll look better with spacers either way...

Are you staying with the stock rims or are you going with a set with an offset in them? If you stay with the stock rims you should put some in specially if you do not have a lift.

I put a set of 1 1/4" spacers on mine with 305/65/17 tires on the stock rims... Don't know for sure if they were "necessary", but you'll definately like the looks of it once the tires are pushed out a little more

I was running 285-70-17 tires on the stock rims and the 2.5" BB w/o wheel spacers. The right rear tire had left a small rubbed area inside the wheelwell just above the frame after wheeling . It wasn't noticeable at the time, but I've got spacers now. It wasn't a problem on the street without the wheel spacers.
