Default Needing advice.

I have recently purchased 37s for my sport, so I am looking to beef the front up. I have found a Dana 44 front that is empty besides sleeved and gussets. I can get the locker too. My question is how much is the housing and locker worth and what all will it take to swap (parts wise)

A new complete front rubi 44 is around $2700. A new bare front housing is around $925. A new front locker is around $1300. ( prices are from : Mopar Parts Discounted - Genuine OEM Mopar Parts Discounted up to 35%, Largest selection, delivered to your door , - dealer prices will likely be quite a bit more? )

Used prices will vary wildly. Maybe $700? (ish?) for the housing and locker. Some people are willing to pay a LOT more, but I wouldn't.

If you get the housing and locker, you will need gears to match the rear, or do both ends. And install or master install kits for each end. And inner shafts and joints from a rubi. The outer shafts can come from a rubi, or you can re-use your d30 outers. And outward from the outer shafts can be re-used from your 30.

If you choose to not get the rubi locker, your choices are a 35sp ARB, which will need 35sp axle shafts also, or a 30sp OX locker with the actuator of your choice. (if the housing has inner sleeves, the 35sp shafts may not be an option?)

Mostly trail riding and hills. No rocks in Mississippi. Lol but I would say at least moderate wheeling

Eh, if it were me I'd truss and gusset the d30 and carry spare axle shaft. Cost me $180 including $50 to a local jeeper to do the welding. But that's just me.

Thought about that too. But how easy is it to change an axle shaft on a trail
