Default new Adjustable trackbar...and I'm getting problem I guess..need you opinion !

Hello ! I just changed my stock trackbar for an adjustable one, the RE1673 made by Rubicon Express, I followed instruction, I centered front axle by adjusting the trackbar end at frame, I torque both end at 150 lbs... so evertything should be ok, but When I turn steering I got almost of the time the sound "tok" like something could be loose.. but I tight both end again seveand the nut for adjustment look tight also. So What could be my issue ? I know issue is coming from end at frame, my friend turn steering severals time and with hand on tracksbar end at frame I was able to feel the something synchro with "TOK" sound, so it's really coming from there. What should I do or try ??

Thanks !

I am not sure if that model uses a jam nut but if it does is torqued down to the proper spec?
Do you have any photos of the front suspension?

Yes there's a jam nut, and nut is tight, but maybe not enought..., it's hard to tight it correctly space to tight it is not really friendly... I'll take a picture tomorrow morning to show you..
Let's say If the jam nut isn't correctly tight enought, and when I turn steering "tok" sound could be cause by the stud loosing or jumping one thread..? (don't know if your understand me ..!)

Thanks

Cracked track bar mount, steering stabilzer loose or maybe the adjuster on the drag link contacting something. Just throwing out ideas. If it's making a noise that loud you should be able to see it and feel it.

I feel it with my hand on trackbar end at frame, the adjustable end, so issue must be there...

Did you inspect the trackbar mounts for "ovaling" of the bolt holes? The track bar could be sliding within the bracket, or the jam nut is loose and you are hearing the threads moving around a bit.

this morning I removed trackbar, inspected each piece and everything is correct, no dommage piece, so I took some pictures for warranty and dealer here, and install back trackbar in place. So far no issue, I haven't heard the "TOK" I used to hear, but I just did 2 short ride, but It's looking good... time will let us know !!

Thanks,

The problem is you purchased an RE track bar. Look up the youtube video comparing various track bars...

If the jam nut isn't tight, the adjustable end of the bar can rotate and hit the mounting points. When you hear the sound, check to see if it has rotated in the mount and is touching.
