Did you weld the washer on the front axle to repair the caster bolt holes? The kit does come with all the hardware to replace the caster bolts right. I have lost the stock control arm bolts.

I didn't install the cam bolts since they hinted that they had something to show at EJS along these lines. I know that they do include a new washer for people who did use the cam bolts. It is machined to fit exactly in the middle of the two protrusions that you can see in this picture. By doing this it will not allow the bolt to move, or go anywhere, and like the stock bolts with the washers built in helps to spread the clamping force more evenly across the bushing.

BUT, as i said before, cam bolts have washers that sit between these two protrusions as well and work exactly the same way. the problem is, the clamping force isn't enough to hold things in place and if you wheel your jeep, they will come loose over time. once they do, your axle will be free to float around and this is not a good thing. i know you think i'm just making this up but let me assure you, i have seen this happen time and time again. it's great that these washers are included but really, i would do yourself a favor and have them welded in place. shouldn't cost more than $40 to do tops.

Yes I will weld the washer on but does the kit come with replacement bolts. I don't have my stock bolts anymore. I should know soon if not will a grade 8 bolt work or will I have to order replacement bolts from the dealer?

yeah, you can probably use a 1/2" grade 8 fine thread bolt and stovers to hold everything in place.

You can reuse the same bolts that came in the cam bolt kit, just ditch the cam washers.

are you kidding me? with that logic, why not just leave the whole cam bolt assembly in? the cam bolts are cut down the length on one side so that they can have a keyed fit in the cam washers and if anything, would have a better fit.

It comes with new M14 bolts with crown lock nuts to replace the cam bolts, so you're good.

fwiw, a 1/2" is a little small and a 9/16th's is too big. I tried those a while back.

I lied, it came with new M14 bolts to replace the cam bolts. I guess I overlooked that in the instructions since I still had the stock bolts in the hole.

Sorry if I confused anyone.
