Pulled this from a jeep magazine. Makes it seem like the locker will fit rubi 44's. Buddy of mine just bought one waiting to get it so he can install it in his rubi 44 housing.
Not sure what magazine that was, but I remember reading an article I think in the last couple years in either 4 Wheel and Off Road, or JP that dove into details on the Rubi. There was a part about the lockers in the Rubi saying Jeep engineers tried several designs and that the one they chose was exceptionally durable. They said they tried and tried to break them and couldn't.

I'm not sure what people's experiences are around here, but I've had no issues with mine and have been quite pleased. I'm probably not as hard on them as some might be, but it seems to be a stout design. Of course, I'm running 33's, and not 35's or 37's or greater, either.

On another note, I've had several Chevy trucks with OEM Eaton "lockers" (I know they aren't the same thing, nor were they true lockers, but they were MUCH Better than a limited slip) and I never had an issue with any of them.

I put the Eaton E locker on my Dana 30, but can't get it to work. My suggestion is to wire it up BEFORE you install it and see if you can get it to work, you should be able to hear the pins move. Trouble shooting it after it is installed is tough.

Default True Trac in the front axle could be dangerous.

I was under the assumption that a True Trac in the front axle could be
dangerous. When you turn, your jeep will keep going straight. Weather
it's. locked or not.

No, I have one and it's transparent except for the fact that you have awesome traction.

Default JK and XJ With Eaton 513

I have The Eaton lockers in the JKU X and 2001 XJ 513s in both. Have no issues. We do Moab at least 4 times a year for the past 3 years.

I was told the same too. I could see maybe a issue in 4hi at higher speed cornering? No?

The truetrac is a gear driven limited slip. Not a locker. It doesn't have the handling drawbacks on snow/ice that a locker, or maybe even a clutch driven limited, has. There are plenty of threads on this traction device here on this forum, try a quick search.

Then again, the downside to a truetrac is that it is a limited, and not a locker. So those who spend time with tires in the air may be better off running lockers instead of these. Depends on individual needs and budget.
