Sorry, that post was a little more blunt than what's typical for me.

I get the desire to want to do something different; but I really don't see the appeal with these aftermarket grills. That, and anything without seven slots just seems wrong (in my opinion).

 

Its not something I'd do on my Jeep, but if you're happy with it that's all that matters..

 

I think the only thing over the top is the red around the lights. I'm not sure what the color of your jeep is, but the way I picture it in my head would be the black part was actually paint matched to your jeep, and the red part was actually blacked out. I like the flag decal that a lot of guys on here do, but I prefer this way because it doesn't look chopped up like with the seven slots.

A lot of guys on here have a chip on their shoulders about the seven slots. I say do what you like to your vehicle and as long as you enjoy it, who cares what it looks like. Those blasphemy threads, the critics threads are poisonous to this forum; those are just people being a**holes who think their opinion matters more than others. In reality, their opinion doesn't matter at all.

The guy above that outright said the grille is pretty terrible is just being blunt (he retracted his statement, so I'll do the same). He doesn't actually care what you do to your jeep. He just saw a chance to be a keyboard warrior and needed to feel validated for the day.

 

Hey it's all good I anticipated negative replies. Jeep is granite metallic and was not sure on the red myself but wanted something different. Had the grill color matched to the jeep. It came flat black.

 

Personally i like it alot. Im a big supporter of the seven slot thing but mostly because sema jeeps ruin it but this looks quite good. I like the red but on the edge about it one of those things id have to see on the jeep. Flas on the other hand looks fantastic
