One brands 4" is another brands 2.5" lift. The TeraFlex 2.5" on a 2dr will lift about 3.5-3.75 in the front and 2.5" -3" in the rear. Adding aftermarket bumpers will bring that down. 35's will work great with this. The BB kits have 2.5" front spacers and 2.0" rear spacers now. Add some adjustable control arms to correct the pinion angle and so you can set your caster. TeraFlex is working on 2DR JK specific coils, starting off with the 2.5" series.

Good luck with that! I would not cheap out on a lift. And there's no way I'd do a 4" if I wanted to keep the cost down. A 2" BB (Budget Boost)and a 1" BL (Body lift) would be cheap, fit 35's and should keep you clear of any DW issues. Anything other than that is a considerable jump in price to do right.

But you might as well just give in now and drive the Jeep to SLC give him 30g's and have him call you when it's done.

That's cool. I just got a 2-door Rubi and would be very interested in a "true" 2.5" coil lift for my JK.
