Default New Lift, what's next?

My new lift will be here tomorrow!!! I'm getting the 2.5" rough country coil lift and still can't decide between 33's or 35's. I've got an unlimited x that is a daily driver with light off road use just for a fun Saturday. I've got 3.73 gears and no lockers yet and an auto trans. I really want the 35's but am worried about how it will perform with the auto trans. Any suggestions would be great.

Also, I'm going to get the ProComp Extreme AT's, I'm pretty stuck on them because they look good, they have good reviews on and off road, and they have a 40k mile warranty.

If you have plans for gears but aren't going to get them for a little while, then go with 35". If you have no plans for gears, then stick with 33's. You can live with the 35" tires and 3.73's until you get regeared, but if you have no intentions of gears and just want to DD then 33's are a better choice.

I'm in the same boat. Several members on forum run 35's with auto and 3.73's they say it's not as horrible as everyone says.... several also have the aev procal which you can adjust shift points and they say that helps a bunch.

my plan is to go with 35's and get the aev procal or superchip.... several benefits. cheaper than regearing right now. I can adjust the auto trans, recal speedo and a list of other items.... if it's still not good enough... I will just save the regearing.

I'd just go for the 35's right away. I went with 33x12.5 and now I'm wishing I had just bought the 35's. The 33's do look awesome on my ride though! Just ordered some 5.13's yesterday and the AEV Pro Cal, so I'm going to run them with the 33's until I wear the tires out

Glad to hear you're finally getting a lift. Hopefully I'll have mine by the end of the summer. I'm going with 33's because it's my DD and i've got 3.73's with an auto. I think 35's would dog it down too much on the highway. Make sure to post some pics when you're done.

The lift is supposed to show up today. It might be a couple of weeks before I get time to put it on so that will give me time to get wheels and tires. I think I'm going to go with the 35's. That's what I really want and I guess I'll just deal with the lack of power. Also, I'm getting a programmer, but still not sure which one. It's sounding like superchip and procal are the 2 to choose from. I also was looking at the hypertech.

Looks great! I like those wheels, but I'm probably going to go with just matte black.

Get 37's and a 1in bodylift and save up for gears. Cause when you do re-gear, you'll want 37's. Most 37's aren't actually 37in tall, same way with 35's. Research your tires and get something middle. You'll lose your overdrive on either anyway.

I'm pretty sure I'm going for the 35's. It just doesn't seem right to not fill up the wheel wells.

So, the lift showed up yesterday and I can not wait to get it on. It might be a couple of weeks before I get time to do it, but it seems pretty simple. Anyone had any problems with their install? I got the Rough Country 2.5" coil lift.
