Default New Long Arm Lift Advice

So I got with a mechanic friend of mine and he looked and my current suspension setup, and told me it's pretty F'd up.. So I am just going to bite the bullet and buy a whole new setup. He suggested getting a long arm kit for the type of wheelin we do. He likes Rock Krawler and suggested I look into that brand. So I started looking last night and found two Rock Krawler Long Arm Kits (Triple Threat, and X-Factor 3.5" no shocks) for right around $3000. I also looked at Rubicon Express Extreme Duty Long Arm Kit (no shocks) for right around $3000 also. Then I found the TeraFlex 4" Elite LCG Long Arm Kit (With Shocks) for about the same price.

I guess I'm looking for opinions. I'm leaning toward the Teraflex kit cause in the long run it's way cheaper. What is the difference between these kits, other than shocks. Other people suggested an adjustable or Mid-length Kit.

My mechanic friend said I already have a 4" lift on my jeep (I just bought it used), and I am running 35" tires. The current lift is all pieced together from different kits, and the components are pretty rusted up and in bad shape.

He is also going to get me gussets, and a new front drive shaft.

The wheelin we are doing is in the Cascade mountains in Washington, and also some rocky terrain on the eastern side of the state. This is a 50/50 rig so it will still be used to commute, and it will be flat towed into the mountains for exploration..

Any suggestions and opinions are welcome. But be kind, I am not very versed in suspensions or mechanical in anyway. That's why i'm asking for opinions before i "Leap"
Thanks
Mike

oh sorry bout that. Thought I had setup a sig but I guess not..

I have 2009 JKU Rubicon, with a pieced together 4" lift thats in horrible shape, and 35" tires wrapped around 20" wheels.

I'm trying to sell the tires and wheels and get a set of Duratracs, trail grapplers, KM2's wrapped around 16" wheels.
