New shocks for teraflex leveling kit
I'm installing the Teraflex leveling kit and want to replace my shocks as well. Do I use the stock shock length? I was thinking Bilsteins but if anyone has any other suggestions, I would like to hear them. I want a high quality off road shock with good road manners.
The expression "There's no need for new shocks"...can mean many things.
It is important to remember that unless your lift is so tall that the stock shocks can't reach the ground anymore...you don't NEED new shocks for the lift.
The main reason for new shocks is it allow more wheel travel, primarily droop/down travel.
If they are TOO long, they may not compress enough to allow full UPTRAVEL though....so you want them to compress short enough, but, extend as far as possible.

If you do not off road, or don't off road where you need/want the extra articulation the stock shocks for example can be ok...
If you want to IMPROVE your articulation, you can get longer shocks, without even getting a lift...just substituting ones that compress enough, but extend further.

And so forth.
Food for thought.
