Default New Skid Plates needed.

I have a 2008 2 dr JK with manual transmission and 4 speed atlas transfer case. My old plates that I destroyed on a run were Kilby. I am in need of a new set including gas tank. I was looking at Hard Rock. What is being used out there that you are having good luck with. I do some serious crawling.
/thanks in advance

Check out River Raider. People who have them say they are heavy duty with no complaints.

If you do serious crawling and your skids are destroyed then maybe you need better lines or bigger tires.

Alternatively- build your own skids, do a tummy tuck while you're in there. Dirtman built his to cut down on weight and increase ground clearance. Those skids are great but they add so much weight that it's not even funny.

I don't see how you could destroy 3/16s skids and your frame and jeep is fine......Kilby made some good stuff back in the day.

Agree with this. I flat bellied and made my own skid. A ton more ground clearance and cheap. Still have the stock t-case, so had to make a little pocket for the corner of it. With an Atlas, you can go flat. Ditch the trans mount and make your own. There is no reason to have anything hanging below the frame.

Yes you are correct a better line would have helped. I backed up and lost track of a large loose bolder. It got stuck under the rear cross member for the transfer case. The entire weight of the jeep was concentrated on that spot when I backed up. I was running drag and the rest of the club had moved on so yes my fault.
That being said, kodyzx7 do you also have the Rock Hard Gas tank Skid?

Thanks for all the input.

Yes, I have the fuel tank shield as well. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
