I do like the box you got. I was looking at those and was planning on getting one. I needed to be able to slide boxes in from the back though, so the trunk was a better solution for me. The metal box solution would be more secure though I would think. Were you able to attach it to the seat bolts? ...that what I was thinking of trying if I got one.
I'd like one that sat where the rear seat was since mine is out and I don't foresee putting it back in.

Looks great!

How heavy is it to take in and out? My Golden would not be too happy if she could no longer ride around town.

I finally got an unlimited and I'm very happy. (I've only had it for a week, though...but so far so good )

In researching various trunk options and being limited with a sub-woofer, I opted for the black box pictured on the earlier post. I received it yesterday, but it seems the lid only opens a little more than half-way. It will make it difficult to squeeze a gym bag through the opening....unless mine is defective. Otherwise, it seems like it's good quality. The other thing is that it is only 32 inches long although typically it's advertised as 35 1/2 inches long. That was disappointing, too. But it looks good and the price is reasonable.

Does anyone have any experience with the Rubbermade ActionPacker? The 35 gallon size seems like it will do the job and reviews elsewhere seem to be positive. It doesn't have the same vibe as black diamond plate, but it might be practical enough to securely stow belongings with a padlock and what not. I figure a couple holes could be drilled in the back and then secured properly, etc. Anyway, I just ordered it and I'll let you know how it works out.
