Default Newbie Mod Ideas

If I were to do it again, I would have bought d60 front and d80 rear axles with those Tom woods driveshafts before I got a lift and tires so I could get 37s or 40s and not be scared off-roading with those tires. Definitely would have bought a rear bumper with tire carrier before the bigger tires because now I never leave the tail gate open because I don't want it to sag.
I want to line-x the tub and get a lot of auxiliary lighting with hid projector headlights along with a front bumper with grill guard and if you plan on taking the doors off often, I would definitely get a set of delrin door hinge bushings. Check out the free/low cost mods thread too, lots of great ideas
For tires, I can say that the goodyear duratracs are performing very well for me so far
(Rear light guards and a stubby antenna are a must )

After you find something in the catalog make sure to research the part as quadratec is rarely the cheapest

You can plasti-dip or paint your stock wheels. That's one of the first things I did when mine was stock.... Totally changed it, here it is back in the good ole' days with painted wheels <img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=569223"/>
Love them! That was just paint?! No buying new rims?!

Yeah, I meant to come back and mention that also. I have never actually ordered anything from them, (many people like them, I just have never ordered anything there) but when I was new to jeeps, I liked having the catalog and checking out the build-up stages using the same jeep. Gave some good ideas.

Up top on the forum somewhere is a vendors section. Wouldn't be a bad idea to PM a few of them when you decide on a part. Most will offer a forum discount and/or free shipping. Many of them are active and will even comment on your posts asking about certain products, and are very willing to answer questions.

Yup, that was just paint. Duplicolor Wheel Paint. Holds up great and looks sweet. Definitely helps get rid of that "stock" look until ya get new wheels/tires!

There are a million write ups about it.... In reality though, it's as simple as pulling them off and prepping them by getting any oily residue off, scuffing them, taping, priming and painting them! Ta-Daaaa!
