Nitrogen in my tires
I've worked with aircraft tires for almost 40 years. When the regs changed and required dry nitrogen for tire servicing, I could see the difference, in service, and at tire/wheel teardown. I'm talking about tires with 150 to 260 psi in them.

No BS about it. It's all fact. But, like I said earlier, the differnce when used in automobile tires is so subtle, you will not see any benefit, except maybe slower to bleed down.

I did not mean to say these benefits do not occur with nitro, or that they are not used in other applications succesfully, as you point out, just that they were BS for your typical home automotive application. I wasn't referring to fleets or aircraft.

That being said... Nitrogen may have it's advantages, including getting to run green valve stem caps, but I think it's so inconvenient to do so that it's not worth it...
Id have to say Nitrogen in your tires is worthless if you own a Jeep. I mean how many times do you air down and fill up? Not worth it to me...
Whered you get that filled?!

I have nitrogen in my Harley tires but will never put them in the Jeep! The reason that nitrogen is good for the road is that it stays at constant pressure with the area's of the country that get cool at night and hot during the day. If you are constantly airing down and re-inflating, then it is a waste of money.
my dealership wont stop putting nitrogen in. I bring it in for warranty work, they bump up my pressure. I bring it in for a recall, they bump it some more. I stop to say hi, they offer more......They really like to overinflate my trail grapplers. something about that tire makes them think it needs 45 psi...........
had to start pulling over after leaving just to take em down. I dont want to upset the dealership as they are "mod friendly" for now...

That's why some high end sports car makers put nitrogen in their cars tires. Can't remember which one but one of the crazy ones, like Pagani.
Clown College , They don't lock their tanks up. You gotta go dressed like a Ninja and they scatter.
