Nitrous?
I think 50 HP for under $1000 is a good deal.
What's the old adage from the Mad Max movies?
Speed = Money . . . So how fast do you want to go?
Offroad with the 4:1 t-case crawling up rocks and hills it's fine as a stocker.
Where the pathetic 3.8 really bugs me is off the line and towing up a long hill.
I think one of those variable throttle NO2 switches would be great for towing.
I don't need 250 HP all the time, just when I get the 'Happy Foot'

Nitrous Oxide gets a bad rap. People are putting superchargers on there Jk and getting about 70-80hp more then stock. The manufacturer builds engines with a safety margin for more hp for longevity.
Horsepower is horsepower, the engine doesnt care. I am not telling you what to do, I personally wouldn't do it but the engine stock can safely take 50-75 shot of Nitrous all day long. Anymore then that then you would have to address fuel, fuel pressure regulator, msd ignition box to retard the timing.
I installed a 100hp kit for a guy who had a 3.8 camaro back in the day. Also installed a fuel pressure regulator and retarded the timing 3 degrees when it hit. Its my understanding that this is the same engine. I was told by the mechanics from Jeep.
This is why I have a sports car and a Jeep. When I feel the urge to go fast I drive my Porsche Turbo 951.
