If you price out the other racks VS Gobi, then add cross bars, a basket, and a ladder, your more like 300-500 cheaper. Plus the Gobi rack has a built in lightbar, is heavier duty, and nicer looking than most any other rack I've seen or read about.

My Gobi rack arrives next week.

PS they take 6 weeks to get.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Very good options here. The pics help so much. The shared experience helps even more. I didn't know it takes so long for gobi's to go out. Where did you order from? Does anyone have any racks in stock? How long did it take others to get their racks, even non gobi's?

Try surco roof racks! I'm looking at at getting one also, didn't want to drill holes in my hard top either.

I did drill, but only eight small holes and they are on the sides which could be capped/filled very easily!

Sorry to bump and old thread but,

I am looking at a kargo master congo cage rack but what is holding my back is mounting roof lights. I see you have them mounted, can you still tilt back the rack to lower the soft top? If so how did you wire the lights?

Buy the Gobi and don't look back. Had mine for years and it's worth every penny.

I was going to buy Gobi but I don't want to give up the soft top sunrider option for my JKU.
