I have the 2" Full Traction BB in mine. I looked at mine a minute ago and it has at least 1.5" of space there.

Is this because of the weight of bumper and winch, or age, or is it a combination of both

Somethin else I got to thinkin about here......some of these things sit down WAY low in the front. Mine did. It was RIGHT at 2" down. Put a 2" spacer on top of the spring, and a 2" bumpstop extension......and you got the same amount of space you had before between the bumpstop and extension. Just something to think about.

When I installed the lift, I checked the parts list vs what I had, it was all there. I spoke to my local dealership mechanic, he says the springs are over weighted, prob from the bumper, skid plate and roof rack. Not catastrophic, but I need to get new springs soon. I took out the skyjacker bumpstops, ill take a pic and post a test ride report when I get home

so i took the skyjacker bumpstop extension out, it wasnt easy getting it through the coil!

the ride seems a little softer, but i am still worried that the spring is failing. now, the bigger concern is i plan on wheeling at Rausch Creek this weekend. is this a bad idea? and can someone point me in the right direction for a set of replacement springs? maybe a sponsor can link me? please?

more than likely it's because of the weight of the bumper/winch. if you had flexed it big prior to installing the bumpstop extension, i would have said that your coils were over compressed - i.e. squished down to the point where they didn't come back up to it's original height.

you should be fine and wouldn't let it keep you from going wheeling. at worst, your coils will sag a bit more but that's it.

ome makes an hd 2" coil that will give you 3" of lift.... maybe a tad more. the teraflex coils seem to measure tall as well and so if you were to get their 2.5" coils, you should get the height you need as well.

I have the teraflex coils and really like the ride. They also lifted my front back up. I had a good amount of sag due to a shrockworks bumper and winch.
