Default OEM Track bar modification

Has anyone attempted to modify there factory track bars to make them adjustable. It doesn't look like it would be that hard and would be a helluvalot cheaper that new ones.

I am sure you could but just my opinion but I would sink time or money into them. For a little more that $100 you can get JKS that are adjustable and MUCH stronger. Sort of the old "you can polish a turd" thing

120ish for new ones, or hours of fab and lots of cash.... Ill take the 120is. If I was going to build something I would make one from scratch not modify the current. I would rather just bolt one up and spend my time/money/and energy on something more fun. just my opinion.

Yea, both of you are prolly right. It's just that living in remote AK, some times have lots of time on my hands and I like to tinker. Prolly could make new ones from dom tubing just as quickly as modifing the stockers.

ya... if you are just bored and want something to do (I like to tinker too, I can relate) I would just bang some out of dom. Only problem I see is getting the bends right to go around the diff cover. If you wanted, I guess you could bob off one end of the stocker and then use DOM to make the adjustable part. Might look retarded though.
