Default Oh No, Not Another Fender Chop Thread

I've been on the fence between 33's and 35's. Finally made up my mind. 35's it is. I won't have the money for a lift for at least a couple months and I like the flat fender look so I gonna chop mine. I've viewed all the threads and photos on the subject but didn't see this question: Those of you that have done it, do you regret it? Has it screwed up something that you had to go buy to replace. How do the chopped fenders hold up. Are they flimsy and floppy. How bout in the wind and at highway speeds. How do they hold up under trail conditions? Lastly, is there anyone out there that has swapped to xenon's or tube fenders that wants to get rid of your old ones chopped or stock.

No regrets at all! I left the skeleton (cut down of course) under the front fenders and it is just as solid as before... Even more solid actually with less plastic away from the mounts. The rears dont have enough plastic (4" or so) to get flimsy as they are close to the mounts. To me, it looks 10x better. Not to mention, the edges of all my fenders were pretty scratched up... which looked even worse. Again, I have ZERO regrets...

When I do it, I'm gonna make a left and right template out of mylar. This way, I'll get exactly the same on both sides.
