Question Oil Filter Magnet

Has anyone used an oil filter magnet. On E-bay there are some for sale which are military strength, which attaches at the bottom of the filter. Since I have not received my JK yet would it be a good idea to get this for the "break-in" period, or is this just a gimick???

LOL OIL FILTER MAGNET....... It's a joke. Don't waste your money. That's as bad as the guy on e-bay that for $200 he would give you advice for jeep mods.

Yes, a gimmick. Oil passes through the filter at a high rate, too fast for a magnet to work. Maybe one of those magnetic drain plugs....

i used magnetic drain plugs on my previous turbo car, it picked up a heck of a lot of shavings after a rebuild.
