Well, the next oil change will take a little less oil to refill. You could save a bunch of money in the long run, with this mod.

Easiest budget mod ever! Oil saving modification:

1) Find big f'n rock
2) Run over big f'n rock
3) Repeat until oil pan is crushed to your satisfaction!

You can save from 1-3 qts of oil!

Pic #1, looking up at the support bracket. I covered the trannie cooler lines in heater hose to prevent rubbing:

Pic #2, the crossover tube can contact the skid under acceleration. Bending the hanger will fix this.

Pic #3, think this could have been your oil pan & trannie

I had the Rock It Parts skid on my TJ, I actually liked it even though some didnt. It was the one that was made to stick on the pan (no bolts) Some people had a problem with them coming off on the trail, but I prepped my pan real good and never had a problem. I liked it because it still offered good clearance and protected the pan just in case. I also had a 2 inch MM lift though so mine was up there out of the way........

What is the skid row skid plate mounted to up front? It appears to be angle mounted to the engine mounts, am i correct?

Also, i had the same exact dent as the rest of you, so i popped off the pan and hammered it out...pretty easy.

Yes, one side is the engine mount. Can't remember what the other is at the moment.

Eventually, hammering out the oil pan will weaken it substantially and cause it to crack or fail. I am thinking of the Skid Row plate, but hanging on until WOL can convince another company to make a more compact better one
