Default OK BL ? not BB

OK
So enough people have convinced me to not do the BB for many reasons...
Many may be a little blown out of proportion but I guess I do not really need it.

So...
I have been convinced that I will be safe with a 1 in BL and it shouldnt mess with the ride too much.

Now this is for a Unlimited Rubicon....

Which one is the best?
I know of Daystar and M.O.R.E I am sure there must be others as well.
Which is the best.

I have a friend in Cali that has the Daystar on his Rubi and said it did not alter his ride at all.... I know M.O.R.E. more or less pioneered the 1 in.

I want to run 33's on the AEV 17x8.5 Argent Wheel : 5x5 : +10mm offset

Will this work??? I dont want rubbing when turning.

Thank you to all of you for your help and patience with me in finding the best set up for me and my JK

Again, as I said earlier this is more for daily driving... Very little real hardcore wheeling.

The body lift does NOT alter the ride in any way whatsoever. It doesn't touch any of the suspension at all. I installed the MORE kit on mine and it is top notch in quality and the ease of install was GREAT! So easy a caveman could do it!

Good to hear!
Hope to hear from someone whose had the Daystar as well...
I notice it costs a bit more and wonder if it includes more or what
it is worth more (or worth more in their estimation).

I just installed the 1" M.O.R.E. BL. I preferred going with the aluminum pucks as compared to others that come w/plastic. Just a personal preference. As mentioned above, it does absolutely nothing to affect the ride of your jeep. One might argue that your COG is higher now... and that could affect your stability and/or anti-roll electronic $hit... but I don't think it's enough to worry about. Personally, I already had 3" of lift and just needed a little extra so my fenders wouldn't rub at full flex.

Why no BB???? The only way you will jhave any problems is if you don't install it correctly and that is pretty hard to do. I would do the BB and the BL together.

x2, IMHO the BL don't look very good and if you are worried about ride quality a BB isn't gonna change that at all.

x3 - And if you're going to make a blanket statement saying that a BB is a bad idea, care to qualify your concerns?

X4 - Really, whoever convinced you that a BB was a bad idea is someone who was giving you bad advice. I personally would highly recommed a BB over a BL or if you could do both at the same time, that would be optimal.

If anyone wants to see the messages that scared me out of a BB please Email me.
I will send you a link as its in another forum but I would really like to get some insight....

I want the 2 in lift but was told it would change all kinda things

Such as

"The front axle is off 3/4" to the driver side, the front sway bar links are obviously stressed because of this, and the brake lines are too short to ever achive full suspension flex. The jeep wanders in the road a lot more than it did before even though it is by nature a "wandery" vehicle, and the ride is definitely stiffer but not a lot, in fact I like the ride better than stock. All in all I'd have to say I somewhat regret installing the lift and am seriously considering removing it, but I'm going to have it aligned tomorrow first and see what I think then. If I'm still unhappy then I will take it off. I think the real issue is that the kits are too incomplete. I did not want a spacer kit because I do not like spacers at all anywhere for anything, but i got a full 3-3.5" of lift from this kit and it's just too much for what the kit will do."

and there were quite a few others...
Sounds like I am going to have ride quality issues but just doing a BB as well as issues with handling ???

I've read that post too, and allow me to highlight the REAL problem... see above, in yellow. IMO, a BB shouldn't top 2.5" unless the engineers have REALLY put their time in to ensure that quality is maintained over profit. To that effect, I think it's pretty clear that this 3-3.5" 'BB' is a poor product that needs some serious revision.
