Default ok gearing help please!!

I have a 4inch lift with 37in tires...on my 6 speed rubicon unlimited....what should I go with 4.88s or 5.13s. I will not be doing much off roading in this jeep!

If its mostly street, go 4.88's. Bit more friendly on the free way, and with a manual, you will have plenty of gearing to get going on hills.

4.88s? With 37s? I think 5.13s will have you a lot happier. Hell, I was even gonna say the new 5.38s comin out.

I disagree. If it is mostly freeway, 4:88. I am running 4:88 with 35's now and I will be upgrading to 37's when these wear out. I will not be changin my gears, I think it will be perfect.

Now, also note, I wheel the hell out of my jeep and I am still happy with this combination.

I ran the calculator to check. If you start with 32's and 4.10's (stock rubicon) the 4.88's will be the best for the 37's if you want it to feel stock. I am going to 37's before ejs and im planning on doing the 5.13's. I think they will do a lot better with the steep mountain roads around here. Just what im doing though.

If you are going 37s then I think you should go 5.13s. Just my opinion.

Deff go 5.13. My auto is doggy w/ em on steep climbs, so im guessing they would do the trick on a manual. 4.88 might be a little doggy even w/ the manual.
