i'm in the exact same boat, (4 door, 6 speed, 37's, mostly road driving) and i'm leaning towards the 4.88's . I do about 20 miles highway driving a day and i'm real nervous about highhhh rpms at 65mph with 5.13's.

Can anyone tell me their actual numbers with 37's, 6speed and 4.88's or 5.13's at highway speeds?

I can definitely understand why a lot of yall say 5.13's for all of yall who do all kind of rock climbing and hard core off roading but as my daily driver that stays mostly on the pavement i would think 4.88's are the way to go for me. The only reason i'm consideringggggg 5.13's is the possibilty of towing a boat in the future, but that's way over the horizon.

I have to admit since adding the hypertech the added get up and go in the low rpms has definitely made the 4.10's a lot more tollerable. I definitely still am going to change them out, but they can wait a few months and the bestop trektop is at the top of the list now.

Use this site to calculate your gears. It lets you do a side by side comparison.

http://grimmjeeper.com/gears

The 6sp trans in the NSG-370 (close ratio) (you enter the trans to get the correct ratios). the t-case is a NVG-241. Then enter your axle gears and tire size. Then hit calculate for each side. Then you can change the speeds and such below (hit recalculate again).

A year and a half since you started this thread and you still can't decide??

Plug some numbers into the chart in the faq's and see what you come up with. Not a lot of rpm difference between the two ratio's, so may as well go for the little extra oomph that the 5.13's will give...
