Default Old Man emu

Hello
Currently i have the terraflex 1.5 inch lift but im looking for a change in the build. Im curious about the old man emu weight ratings. For example they have front springs that are rated at 0-90 lbs and then other springs are rated at 0-180 lbs. Its a little confusing because im not sure how much lift it will produce? i have a roofrack front and rear bumpers and some armor im looking to hopefully get roughly 2".

Thanks in advance
Sam

p.s. if anyone has any other recommendation for a coil that could give me a similar lift height.

The OME springs will give you 2 1/2 to 3" of lift. Since you have bumpers and armor I would recommend 2615/2617 springs for a 2 door or 2616/2168 for a 4 door. The difference in the springs is the higher constant load springs are designed for heavier vehicles. Here is a link that shows the different part numbers etc. http://www.arbusa.com/Uploads/PDF/on...de_current.pdf

Stick with light/stock load springs. In a 4-door those are 2616/2617. Do not let anyone talk you into running the 2619/2618 setup. It will net you closer to 3" and a rougher ride. Some call it their HD setup and OME intends it for heavy Jeeps. Heavy all the time, think loaded for Overlanding. I've run OME springs on a few Jeeps with different combinations. Great product. In combination with their Nitrocharger shocks it is a great ride on and off the highway.

I've installed 2615 & 2617 emu springs, with the 10mm trim spacers. The lift is 2" (2-door with bumpers, winch, sliders, skid plate, and three years of fun). Build thread is in my sig below.

edit: Link to the OME lift guide.

I'll let you know in about a week how I did with my OME spring change-out. I bought the "heavy" rated front pair, as I am adding a 74 lb winch onto a Hanson Off Road steel bumper. I have no other changes planned right now, although I wonder if I'll need to address the change concerning the shocks.
I hope I'm not letting the genie out of the bottle by doing what I intend, time will tell.
4 door, if it's important.
Anyone have any warnings for me, the stuff has not yet arrived.
I saw on the 2-2/12" OME lift kit there are no brake extensions in the kit. I'm assuming they are not necessary?

Yes, the HD coils are for heavy vehicles even with a winch and steel bumpers the the light duty coils will give you 2" of lift and will give you a better ride then the HD or the HD+40 coils. And yes I have run both the HD and the no load on a 2 door with heavy steel bumpers, sliders, and a 8000 pound winch. Started with the HD and moved to the no load and was much happier with the ride.

I'll second what Dirtman said. He gave me that exact advice way back when I ran the coils. The vendor I bought from talked me into the HD coils for my 2-door. Too stiff and did not like the ride.

I took the same recommendation from Dirtman, you and a couple others about 5 months ago, and went with the OME ligths in my JKU, 2" lift with 150lbs in the nose (front bumper and winch), skids, sliders and rear bumper. Nice plush ride, and what I had for height after the first week of springs settling, is still the same height 5 months later.
