Default OME Flighty Steering Help

I have the OME HD kit, and am experiencing flighty/wandering steering.

Had my Jeep aligned and here are the specs

Left Right
Camber -1.1* 0.1*
Caster 1.3* 1.0*
Toe 0.07* 0.09*

What should I fix, and how? (Control arms, camber bolts?)

More castor would be nice.

Front Uppers will fix that .

David, I love my OME HD lift with the FT trackbars. Many thanks.
I'll be installing the FT upper control arms you sent me and I'll give you guys a report on it later this week.

Also, I'm going to order the rear driveshaft for my 2 door, should I order just the rear FT upper adjustable arms or both upper and lower to set the pinion angle properly?
And the driveshaft, any real reasons not to go with a 1310 OE flange model?

FT,Currie, Clayton or Tera all make nice control arms .

You only need the Uppers to adjust pinion angle. Lowers are usually used to set your wheelbase back to normal after a lift.

No there is nothing wrong with the OE flange model.

Also check your tire pressure. I lowered my pressure to 30psi and the flighty steering in mine went away.

I have 15" wheels with 33's and lowering my tire pressure to 32 helped mine as well. The uppers will probably fix your problem though.

Yes it can Castor and driveline angle get changed when you adjust your control arms.

The more castor the better IMHO approx around 5-7 but if you have driveline vibrations you need to go with less castor. It really needs fine tuning. Some jeeps can handle 7 degrees of castor . Mine could not becuase I had to much vibration front driveshaft so I am running approx 5 degrees castor.

Hope that helps.
