Default OME lift observations

I thought someone else might find this info useful:

OME HD front and medium rear
Full Traction track bars
Teraflex extended rear sway bar links (moved the old rears up front)
Clayton 4” extended brake lines
17x8 steels (moves factory pressure sensors over)
Dick Cepek Fun Country II 35x12.5
(everything from Dave at Northridge4x4 - a damn good guy)

The install was not as easy as I expected, but easy enough. I did it myself. If you can get a buddy, I highly recommend it.

The SB links will scrape the stock wheels. I had to install them on the inside of the sway bars until I got the new wheels/tires. You dont want to leave them inside as they will scrape into things if you start to flex. I have a bunch of room installed properly with the new steels and 4.5 BS. I think this is common for after market extended rear sb links.

The extended brake lines might be a bit too long for this lift. I had to hook the rears to a spring to keep them from rubbing on the tires/shocks.

This is my first set of Fun Countrys. All I can say so far is they are ridiculously quiet. Much quieter than the BFG mudders that came with my rubi. Dont know how they work on the trail yet.

My ESP went insane after the install. Long story short, I centered my axles and adjusted my steering wheel about a dozen times and the esp thing went away. JKs appear to be very freaking picky about that steering wheel being exactly center.

Time to get her dirty.

Looks great Greg!

I'll be curious to see what you think of the FC-II's after driving on them for a bit. You chose almost the exact set-up I've been eyeing. Congrats on doing it all yourself as well.

Just a quick question:

Can you provide some pictures of your passenger side spring, with the jeep just parks flat on the ground(not flexing)

BTW Jeep looks great.

I didnt know if you meant front or rear until I took the picture. Guessing you are wondering if everyone gets that bow... Looks like thats what OME is selling... Have to admit that is a bit disappointing. Not sure if I would go OME if I were to do it over again.

Thanks! so much for that picture

Yeah. That is not good. I feel like an ass kind of now. I have been pretty hard on the place that installed mine, but its not all my fault..

ARB said it was not normal to have that bow....... I sent pictures, etc......

The conclusion with the new set of springs in there is ............. now both sides are bowed instead of just the pass side

If I would have known the kit had a bow I probably would not have lifted
