Default Opinions???

What are your guy's opinions on the G2 JK CORE 44 front and rear axles??

Also, can anyone explain the difference to me between electronic, EDECT, and air diff lockers? I know that the way they lock the diffs is different but can anyone tell me which locker is the best?

Just wanted to add... why would you need a rear 44? Don't you already have one?

Standard D44 have different spline count than a Rubicon D44 and these aftermarket D44's

You can run 35 spline shafts with ARB locker in a factory 44. Why would you need an aftermarket 44?

Axle wall is thicker too

IMO for the cost I would just go straight to D60's

While someone could buy a locker, gears, and new axle shafts for their rear 44, I think a lot of folks prefer for a new axle to show up, bolt-in ready. Depending on where you live, between parts and labor, it's practically the same price as just buying one that is already assembled. Plus, if the aftermarket rear option also has beefier tubes and bracketry, then that's also a plus.

I agree, and when you consider that some do not weld and would paying to get the stock 44 rear housing trussed and have the tubes welded to the pig. That can cost multiple hundreds of dollars depending on what your options are for welding in your area. So mail ordering a bolt in solution that is a one-and-done weekend chore to swap can be a great option for many folks.

I was looking at prices for buying lockers and installing them, regearing, new diff covers, strengthening the axles, higher spline count, etc. and the total price was around the same price as a new bolt-on axle with all the goodies already assembled.
