Optima Battery?
from what i understand the yellow top is the mix between the red and blue tops
red was for high power and blue was deep cycle
therefor you get a lot of power and the ability to drain the battery all the way without harming it.
i plan on trying one, since the dual battery setup for the jk looks like it is too much for the limited space (opinion anyway)
but as for now im still on the stocker battery and it hasnt failed me yet, despite its 3 years old and ive had a winch for 2.5 of those years.
but yes i have been hearing mixed reviews for optima wether they are still quality or not. they seem as reliable as buying a new jk (hit or miss)
some of us have had no problems whatsoever and others have had it back at the dealer several times within the first month of buying one, i guess i was one of the luckier ones as i havent had it into the dealer for anything other than the first oil change and to reprogram for sahara tires.
all and all
if your gonna get an optima get the yellow and KEEP THE RECIEPT

What I'd like to know is, which is better for high vibration environments. I ask because last year Moun10neer got stuck in the middle of nowhere, Death Valley. He posted an emergency request for help here on the forum. End of story: A tow truck had to come out from a long, long ways. The driver told him that he sees stuck vehicles out on Death Valley trails all of the time. He explained that most batteries fail when stressed by high vibration, washboard roads. I know that the Optima is designed for this type of use. What about the Sears Diehard Platinum?
