I'm running 35 x 12.50 x 18 toyo mts on my 2012 jku Sahara auto with 3.21 gears with a 3in lift and its not bad at all. I did get a flashcal to correct my speedo and I'm averaging 16 mpg combined and I live at the top of a mountain. I thought I would have to regear but I have no plans to do so now.

What 35's you running? Also Ive read about getting c gussetts if running 35's. Is it mandatory or does it depend on driving uses? Again this is my first jeep and trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks

Gussets are not mandatory for 35's, moreso a recommendation- particularly if you'll be bashing the tires or front axle about to the point where a C would bend. If you're just driving down the road (no potholes on the interstate), no curbs, nothing of that nature then it isn't needed. If you plan to get crazy then it's cheap insurance.

If you do settle for any tire other than what you want then you'll be completely deflated and constantly looking to jump on the next best thing. Take your time with this or buy some used rubber and see if you really want all that comes with 35's.

Thanks for the info. Im gonna give the 285/75/17 a try with my 3.21 gears. If I get brave I might try 35's. Mine is mainly a interstate cruiser.

I an looking at getting the same size tire as well. 285 75 17. Just picked up my new 10th anniversary Rubi 4 door last week. Amazing upgrade from my 2009. My question is...does anyone have photos of their JK unlimited that they could post of this tire size with the AEV 2 inch spacer lift? Thanks in advance.

I am very happy with my 285/75/17 TOYO MT. Perfect size, if you ask me. I did use spidertrax and flat flares though.
