P285/7017 vs LT 285/75/17
So I currently have nitto terra graps P285/70/17 on my 13 jku. They look a little small in my opinion. I have a chance for a good deal on some nitto terra graps 285/75/17. Im geared 3.21 and wondering how much difference between the 2 tires. Will there be much power loss?
P285/70/17-46 #, 32.7 diameter
LT285/75/17-56#, 33.9 diameter

Hey JKer. Congrats on the 2013. If you're okay with your 285/70s, you will be okay with the 75s, for awhile. We lived with the stock 255/80s on our 2010 for 1.5 years before regrading. BTW, love the 285/75 size.

I just installed 285/75r17 terra grapplers on my '12 w/ 3.21's and the loss of power is minimal from my stock 225 tires. I doubt you'll notice any difference from 70's. I have a 2 door manual, so that probably helps...and I live in Florida. Btw, 34" is a perfect size. My buddy has 35's and side by side they sit almost the same height.

I want to go 35 so bad. I just know from others the 3.21 gears wont cut it. I was hoping this would satisfy my desire since the terra grappler 285/75/17 is right at 34 inches and weighs 56#
