Default paining my diff covers...

so i got a set of solid diff covers--they came powder coated..

is if wanna spray 'em red, do i need to prime them? or just paint rght over the powder coat..

I would scuff them, prime them, then paint 2 or 3 coats. Be sure to wait between coats so you the paint doesnt pool or run. They're going to get a lot of dirt and weathering under there. You will want your paint to stick as well as possible.

I have Riddlers. Washed 'em down good with brake clearner. Scuffed them with light sand paper. Washed 'em again. Good shot of primer. 3 coats of semi-gloss Rust-o-leum. Held up great for over a year. Wipe clean with with just a cloth.
