Default Paint Diff Covers

OK, so I should be getting me 2 new Poison Spyder Bombshell Diff Covers, and was wondering about the correct way to paint them. I was wondering if I should just paint the side that is seen and do nothing to the side that is inside.
Thoughts?

no need to paint the inside it will be covered with oil and will not rust.

I painted my D35 stock cover lime green on my old Cherokee. What I did was take a wirewheel with a drill to the stock paint on it. Did not remove it from the Jeep.

Primed it with some rustoleum primer - 2 coats. Used Latex (I think?) based paint and sprayed about 5 good coatings on it, waiting for 15 mins between coats. Looked professionally painted and lasted about 3 years before someone bought the jeep. I BET you its still there...

I would research some more first. I did mine on a whim and got lucky. I can't even remember exactly what I did.

I sprayed both sides with brake cleaner, then after they dried, used Rustoleum primer and paint on the outside. It is holding up well except for a few places where I scraped it on the rocks.

I also cleaned mine with brake cleaner. Then I hit them with 3 light coats of primer. Then after the first coat of paint (Dupli color flame red to match) I put them in the oven at 250 for 10 min to help dry it. This worked great but I can tell you your wife will not be happy. It really stunk up the kitchen. Then I put to more coats on. With the diff covers heated up the paint dries alot faster.

Then I played around some with the logo and a brush.

Looks like the Poision spyder cover and the Riddlers might be out of the same mold.

I put new Riddlers on the front and rear a few months ago... already have a nice rust color. I'll have to clean them up and paint them once the snow goes away.
I didn't know I was supposed to paint them It didn't say so in the installation instuctions.

Use rustolium in a rattle can, I am always touching up the bottom of my jeep in rattle can black.
