i just wonder where i can get my hands on por-15
i live in PA and my under carriage is also a mess and i started lightly prepping the axle tubes and pumpkin for some rustoleum metal primer then some flat black metal spray paint but that por-15 sounds like it would be better, or maybe that rubberized undercoating they sell in cans at the local auto parts.

Google it and order from their website.
It's good stuff. If applied correctly, it will last for years.

Dont buy the ones from the autoparts stores. They will make the bottom of your jeep look like chocolate. They spray on black but turn into a chocolate brown for some reason and they are very runny. Ive used several and most did this.....even the brand name ones. Go with the auto magic.....its the best ive used

I may be reading between the lines here, but is his concern about chipping paint or metal fatigue that may cause chippping paint?

Mine is doing the same thing, I plan on touching it up to avoid rust. It seems like they all do it.

POR is the real deal. I used it on my old TJ, and other projects. Clean the area the best you can and lay the paint right to it. You can paint over rust, and it will still adhere. Dont want to get it on your hands though, it really does NOT want to come off.

Rustoleum works very well on the underbody, doesn't chip or peel and its easy to apply, spray on or brush and after 4 years my XJ has no rust on the undercarriage. If a rock does happen to chip it, although rare, I just head to the hardware store, pick some up, sand the spot and touch it up. It's cheap too so reapplication is no big deal if needed.
