I would start with other items, like differential skid, your stock skids, other suspenson pieces/ brackets and if you need more go with the calipers. Your paying for it so its ultimately your decision.

Flat black is a good color for calipers, it can help show off your rims a little better. I've been debating doing mine red to match my diff covers and front knuckles, but I think it would be going too far.

I would stay away from the Rustoleum as it isn't a high temp paint.
The idea is good but brakes get very hot under use. I guarantee that the paint will start to flake/blister/crack/peel after a few months of hot/cold/hot/cold. For a few bucks more you can go down to Checker Auto and pick up a Duplicolor caliper paint kit which comes in several colors. It's not just a paint - it has ceramic resins for heat dissipation mixed in to it. You get a can of paint, brake cleaner and an applicator brush. The kit I got was $15 compared to the Rustoleum which was $6 or $7. The caliper kit will give out 2-3 coats on at least 3 sets of calipers.
They also sell the Duplicolr caliper paint in a spray can or you can try high temp header paint which comes in several colors (spray can too) as well and is less expensive than the whole kit.
