Painted tow hooks
I painted my d rings
Sanded with 220 grit sand paper, washed with soap and water and let them dry for an hour or more. Then 2 light coatings with self etching primer. Then 2-3 light coats of automotive enamel (any good paint would work, the auto enamel just matches my white well and is made for high heat). Let them dry over night then install them.
I made a little rack and used wire to hang the pieces in the air to paint...made it easy to spin them around and coat evenly...just a tip.
I also painted my rock guards on my wheels te same way.

Personally I would sand blast them and have them powder coated to match your emblem. It should not cost much to do them <$40 or so. Paint will not hold up to trail use as well as powder coating.
I painted mine red and the inner metal bracket on the bumper when i chopped it. Also went red on my evo skids. My jeep is all black minus these items. The paint has held up great. Do multiple coats and PREP it very well. Paint holds up fine on the trail, if you do it right. And its easy to fix, spray spray...
I like that idea. Not trying to have to continuously paint them every couple weeks. What would I need to do the green powder coat at home?
