Anyone else who has the AEV corner guards have a problem getting the tail lights out? I went to take mine out to see about installing a camera and cant get it out for the life of me. I think the corner guards are not allowing it to slide over and pop out..

This could be a problem if a tail lamp ever goes out.

 

I had no problem getting my lights out. I just unscrew the two inner screws (torads the swing gate) and the just slide the light in the same direction.

i could see if you installed the corners tight to the tail lights where it could be a problem

Great so any way to remedy this? I didn't think it could be too tight cause there is an alotted hole already there. doesn't seem there is room for adjustment.

Which way do you slide the light to remove it? Towards the tailgate?

 

Towards the tailgate and it should come right off.

 

Never had a problem with my light comming off. Even trees and dirt like to take them off for me.
